The King Family - Adoption Grant
Heritage Hills was able to present the King Family - Jeff, Emily, Audrey & Logan with an adoption grant. Here is their story:
When asked “How did you know you were called to adopt?” They answered: Why our family chose to adopt is not the usual church answer. Yes, we know… that God has called all of us to take care of orphans and widows in their distress (James 1:27), but what that looked like for our family…we were unsure. For several years we struggled with the question domestic vs. international adoption, until one day when I saw a photo of a little boy from Ukraine. At that point, there was no question that our answer was Yes, Lord. Little did we know, God was going to use that little boy and his brother to take us on a trip around th
e world to Ukraine and then Poland where we eventually found our son. We have had a lot of ups and downs along the way. There was a lot of heartache, but also a lot of joy.
Now that we are home with our precious 8 year old son, we know everything we went through was worth it. Do we wish it could’ve been easier? Of course, but along the way God has taught us many lessons and in the end we know that He created our family exactly how He had planned all along.
